Hi,

I got my hands on a simple radio clock (DCF-77) which is supposed to work with
ntpd as a reference clock.

The output of ntpd makes me wonder whether the parse clocks (type 8) are
supported by the stock ntpd on NetBSD 1.5.2:

  ntpd[1332]: bind() fd 4, family 2, port 123, addr 0.0.0.0, in_classd=0 flags=1 fails: %m
  ntpd[1332]: bind() fd 4, family 2, port 123, addr 10.1.1.2, in_classd=0 flags=1 fails: %m
  ntpd[1332]: bind() fd 4, family 2, port 123, addr 127.0.0.1, in_classd=0 flags=0 fails: %m
  ntpd[1332]: using kernel phase-lock loop 0041
  ntpd[1332]: frequency initialized 0.000 from /var/db/ntp.drift
  ntpd[1332]: using kernel phase-lock loop 0041
  ntpd[1332]: refclock_newpeer: clock type 8 invalid
  ntpd[1332]: configuration of 127.127.8.0 failed

Is anyone using ntpd with a type 8 reference clock successfully ?
