What about some native web-based thing like moregroupware or so? Some PHP-stuff
with a SQL-database like PostgreSQL in the background should be open enough to
use e.g. M$Access as frontend under Windoze (or maybe a selfmade Application,
Power++ is very cute for database programming), and in Unix you can either
take GTK or so if you want it colorful in X (PortgreSQL has a fantastic API
for C/C++ programmers), or maybe even the Webfrontend in lynx/Netscape?

This is the way i do all my stuff (except the Windoze part, i don't need it
here).
