I know of no statement from core barring certain beliefs from these
lists. Someone making an argument may be wrong (and I think in this
thread the best answer lies somewhere between the two extremes being
posited, though probably closer to the ASCII end), but saying that is
very different from saying their position is inappropriate for this
list.
There is no `official NetBSD ideology'. Even Wasabi runs MS Office for
some tasks.
