Hello.
I would be happy if I could mount NFS exports over SSH (using compressed
transport).
I tried for a while, with no success.
I'm using NBSD 1.5.2 as the NFS (v3, I guess?) server and 1.5ZB as a
client, connected via a (gasp) serial cable, both on i386 architecture
(does that matter?)
ssh tunneling ports 111 and 2049 and mounting -T (nfs via TCP) wasn't
enough. I guess it can't reach mountd or that it tries to use UDP anyway.
I've heard NFS v4 can help with that. Is there any implementation on
NetBSD? Packages? Alternatives? Hand-made hacks?
Or am I doing/understanding something very wrong?

If someone has an option which uses something different than NFS+SSH I
welcome that, as long as it compresses the data being sent.

Thank you.
