Is anyone (interested in) working on broader ARCnet support in NetBSD? The
Amiga port supports it already, but it hasn't spread into other ports. Since
the support is already somewhere, and this is NetBSD, moving this into a more
machine-independent form might not be too difficult. Also, most ARCnet
adaptors behave the same and use the same drivers, so driver support might not
be much of a challenge, either.
Ignatios Souvatzis of NetBSD fame has even written a RFC about IPv6 on ARCnet!

It's amazing how many useful pieces of equipment are disguised as domestic
appliances: the machine for cleaning keyboard keycaps and shell cases does an
excellent job of washing clothes, while the tumbling machine for drying them
off also works for socks and shirts. The device in the kitchen for baking
small spray-painted articles can be used for pizza and muffins. And so on...
