The only fast machine I have right now runs Linux (no HW support from
NetBSD or FreeBSD, unfortunately).
But I was wondering if it might be able to build the index and readme
files. I think that's going to get tested soon.

Right... I've subscribed, and I'll take a look. It's definitely worth
putting time into for me, because I suspect I won't be getting rid of
my SS5's any time soon.
