Subject: Xserver Crash with X11 4.2.0 and NetBSD 1.5.2

I've posted this to the Xfree86.org group as well.

Here is a log file from a server which crashed. The OS is NetBSD 1.5.2,
the computer is a Compaq Presario 12XL125 laptop. The Server came up 
enough
to run twm, and accept keyboard input into the active window.

As soon as I used the touch pad 'mouse', the server crashed. The 
question could
be, 'what is the correct mouse device/driver required for the Presario 
12XL125
under NetBSD'.

This computer has run X11 under the Mandrake Linux package, so, it seems 
to
me to be some configuration/driver problem on NetBSD.

The configuration procedure seems to select the correct driver for the 
box. However
I did remove references to higher screen sizes above 1024x768. The 
'mouse protocol'
selections did not include ones that were recognisable to me as a 'touch 
pad', so
I selected the PS/2 option, with the 'dev/wsmouse' device.
