I installed some monthes ago zope and python using this same guide.
Well, Python's make test didn't work and at several things were
obviously broken (pipeopen, etc) but Zope started and i could experiment
with it. Of course, i wouldn't make it a production server in these
conditions imho. There had been several posts about Python and threads
in Netbsd's mailing list in the past.
Cheers,

Objet=A0: Threads and Python (and Zope)
Guten Abend.
There a description how to build Zope and Python on
NetBSD with threading support at
http://www.zope.org/Members/tino/ZopeNetBSD
However, it was last updated on 2001/04/23, so hopefully
the threading packages improved since then. Or not? I see
that the current (please correct me if I'm wrong) Python
package for NetBSD still uses --without-threads, so
what's the state of threading in NetBSD today?=20
Cheers,
Nils
