Colors seem to be fine, including the use of "default", with SLang.

Since we're on the topic of Mutt, are there people using it with Japanese?
While it's certainly usable, I seem to be getting quite a bit of "mojibake."
Even some mail I can read okay with mailx will have a few characters wrong
in mutt.

For example, a small excerpt from the help menu:

N           select-new             このディタクトタ耽の新しいファイタた選多すた
O           sort-reverse           タッセ・踉札犬竜媾職6柑偉�
c           change-dir             ディタクトタた変更
m           enter-mask             ファイタ・瘢雹マスクた匿力
o           sort                   タッセ・踉札犬陸6柑偉�
