I once had a problem (i386, NetBSD 1.5.1) where the disk had not been
'fdisk''ed. It worked in BSD, but the bios wouldn't try to boot, even
though boot blocks were installed.
fdisk fixed it... I'm not sure if it should be before or after disklabel in
your sequence...

| you can go ahead and configure rc.conf and fstab on the new /etc if you
