I used to use twm almost exclusively, but once I found ctwm I never
looked back... :-)
Ctwm is just twm with virtual workspaces and a few other useful
extensions, i.e. it's tvtwm with other useful extensions. It's a bit
bigger than twm, but not a huge amount larger like some others are:
