If you can use FreeBSD instead of NetBSD, It is possible to make
CDROM-based-FreeBSD for practical use. This CDROM-based-FreeBSD supports
PCMCIA and PCI. And it boots from the CD-ROM and runs entirely on the
CD-ROM without HDD or FD. /tmp, /var, /etc and /root is build on memory
file system. See below;
