You are not supposed to start "mountd" manually, the startup script will
handle that for your.

If you want to use your system as NFS client add these options to
"/etc/rc.conf" and reboot:

rpcbind=YES
nfs_client=YES

If your system is supposed to act as NFS server, too, you need this
option additionally:

nfs_server=YES
