Hello,

As of now, on my -current snapshot, the password length is 8 chars.
Anything more is ignored, and only the first 8 chars are taken. Many
other OS's for example, Gnu/Linux, OpenBSD etc. support 128 chars
and/or Md5 passwords

Is there a reason for this? Or better yet, a proposal when this can be
seen...
