Greetings!

After learning about how you can set apmd to run scripts on events like
suspends, AC/DC power source changes, and other sundry things, I got
wondering, is there a way to do that for pcmcia devices? Can my system
ifconfig interfaces and start/stop other things when I add, for instance,
my wavelan cards?

I've scanned over the man pages and it's not readily apparent, but maybe
one could write a userland pcmciad daemon that responds to events.

Gets my mind spinning...
