Yes (a long time ago) with a NetBSD native i386 binary. I didn't
investigate; I just downloaded a FreeBSD binary and run that as a
workaround.

$ file /usr/local/bin/cvsup
/usr/local/bin/cvsup: FreeBSD/i386 compact demand paged executable
$ ls -l /usr/local/bin/cvsup
-rwxr-xr-x  1 giles  wheel  3674112 Jun 15  2000 /usr/local/bin/cvsup
$ cvsup -v
CVSup client, GUI version
Software version: REL_16_1
Protocol version: 16.1
