[I looked for this kind of information on the NetBSD web site and on google
and didn't find what I was looking for.]
I'm in the market for a new subnotebook to replace my trusty but aging Sony
PCG-505. I'd like to buy one that runs NetBSD without much trouble. What do
you people use?
I'm considering the Toshiba Portege 7480CT, Sony SR17, Sony Picturebook C1VN
(the one w/ Crusoe), Sony PCG Z505LE, and ACER Travelmate 350TE. Do any of
them have quirks that would make running NetBSD 1.5 and XFree86 4.0.2 tricky?
My ideal machine would weigh around three pounds; have USB, Ethernet and IrDA
built-in; last more than three hours on a battery charge; and have around
256MB RAM and about 20GB disk.
