FWIW, when installing to the whole disk, I don't think that I had any
problems.

(I only ran 1.4.2 briefly, though.  My ethernet cards aren't supported
under 1.4.2, so I used 1.4.2 to set up and burn a 1.5_ALPHA CD, then
reinstalled with the fresh CD.)
