Personally, my experience with RedHat Linux is that it is more geared
toward being a desktop system than a server. Its got all kinds of GUI
configuration tools that are great if you know how to use them and if they
have the options you want.  If not you have to did through the
configuration files (which are of course optimized to be read by the
parsers in the GUI tools and not by humans).  My recommendation is to go
with a *BSD based system.  I don't know which is better. I've been using
FreeBSD and it works great, I haven't done much of anything with NetBSD
except install it.  So I can't really say which is better.
