I do it at home too: Windows X-servers and an old 486/100 MHz/16 MB
with NetBSD! Runs several xterm's fine for at least two users, file
service (NFS+Samba) print sharing etc. without any problems. It did my
internet routing too by an 288 modem, but now I'm using an ISDN router.
