Just a side note: the instructions work if you run something
nearly -current. Don't try to go from 1.4 (a.out) to -current (ELF) in one
step, go -current and then follow the instructions to switch over to elf.

And the easiest way, of course, is to download "base.tgz" and "comp.tgz"
from the snapshot (about 20 MB together) and then start compiling
everything.
