Make and print the manuals in /usr/share/doc.  If you have trouble or no
paper, try to find the old, dead-tree 4.4BSD set.  It is very handy, and
much less expensive than buying one book for every major subsystem.
The printed books may be slightly out-of-date, but you can always check
the manpage or changelog after you "get your bearings".
