I've been running the slightly dated -current rarpd I show above since
the second reboot following upgrading, and actually for some of the time
I was running 1.3.1 too, and it has never worked reliably.  It does
include the mkarp.c-1.2, as I show, and quite a large number of changes
to rarpd.c too.  There are even more interesting looking changes in
rarpd.c from very recent -current, and that's what I want to try the
next time everything comes to a crashing halt.

I'm running a 1.3.2 kernel, and most of my user land is 1.3.2, though
the rarpd is as I show far above (from -current sources sup'ed on or
about Sun Jul 26 07:48:34 EDT 1998).
