Yes, it should. I had a similar problem with Quake2 on my PC, and you may
be having the same problem. If you type 'quit' from the console, changes to
your setup don't get changed. Be sure to hit escape and choose 'Quit' from
the menu to make sure the changes are save. After you tweak them to the way
you want them, you can continue to do the quick '`quit' to keep the boss
from seeing :)
