hi, is this the right spot to ask??

i restricted a user to see the whole disk by
making it a chroot-ed user in ftp. that works.

but if he/she telnets into the system how do i stop the user from
cd ..-ing out of her directory? is there some basedir setting?
(for now i give csh, should i use another shell?)
