Thanks to Frank, I have successfully got Solaris 4.2 binaries working.

My goal is to get Solaris X apps functioning, however, I have a new snag.

this happens:

jam.datastorm.com:/emul/svr4/usr/openwin/bin>./textedit
XView error: Cannot open connection to window server: :0.0 (Server
package)
or
jam.datastorm.com:/emul/svr4/usr/openwin/bin>./oclock
Error: Can't open display: :0.0
or
jam.datastorm.com:/emul/svr4/usr/openwin/bin>./oclock -display
jam.datastorm.com:0.0
Error: Can't open display: jam.datastorm.com:0.0

Environmental variables:
XWINHOME=/usr/X11R6
OPENWINHOME=/usr/X11R6
DISPLAY=:0.0 (I have tried setting this to jam.datastorm.com:0.0 also)

I am running the olwm (compiled from Xview source on ftp.netbsd.org), any
ideas?

One step at a time, right?
