Hi,
I just got my Archive Viper 150 running nicely under NetBSD 1.1 (amiga), and
have been using dump to backup my system. I have a few questions about it:
1. i use dump -0 -f /dev/rst0 (other stuff) /
- this seems to dump the directory tree (which is what I want):
- is this correct?
2. How can I verify;
a. the names of files dumped, and
b. Whether the backup is physically OK
dump on SunOS at work has a -v option to re-read the backup and compare
against file system, but not in NetBSD.
3. What sort of rates is an Archive VIPER 150 capable of with DC6250 tapes?
Thanks for any advise,
Any pointers appreciated.
