Hi,

does anyone have successfully set up printing to a HP Deskjet 500c connected
via the parallel port?

I've set up some /etc/printcap, but if i check out what's sent to the
printer-device (/dev/lpt0 replaced by an ordinary file), there's just the
banner-page, followed by a formfeed ('\f') and then what looks like some
escape-codes, the contents of the file to print aren't there. :(

Furthermore, the printer seems to need CR+LF at the end of a line, but changing
this via some dip-switch didn't help (not even after power-cycling both
computer and printer).

Any help appreciated,

			Hubert
