I believe the SMC/WD 8013 is the highest-end card. I have one, the
SMC Elite16 Ultra, which gave me 360k/sec FTP rates over the local
Brown network (multiple hops) with my 486-dx2/66 vlb 16mb running
NetBSD-current.
I can't honestly say how good that is, since it's the only card I've
tried. Unfortunately I never did any real benchmarks, and now I no
longer have ethernet access.
