The stock XFree86 3.1.1 Mach32 server has a bug in the font cache which
causes lots of problems with WWW browsers among other things. A fix
for this is included in the official README.late, but it requires lots
of time and disk space to compile a new server.
Additionally, the xbiff program in the NetBSD-1.0 XF3.1.1 binary
distribution looks for mail in the wrong spool dir, /usr/spool/mail
instead of /var/mail.
Fixed binaries of these programs are now available from:
weaver.tsq-b.brown.edu/pub/NetBSD/XF3.1.1-fixed/
Please read the README first. In particular, the Mach32 server was
compiled on NetBSD-current-Feb17, and I'm not entirely sure that it
will work on 1.0.
