This is kind of a philosophical question, but what the hey.

I'm moving to SCSI and there are two (reasonable) ways to go. I'm
planning on a bl445s controller. The question is on the disks. The two
options are:

	o one 1.7Gbyte Fast SCSI2 5400rpm 9ms disk

	o one 1.0Gbyte Fast SCSI2 5400rpm 9ms disk
	  one 650Mbyte SCSI 3600rpm 15ms disk

Buying the two disks is about $150 cheaper. The question is does
having two disks (one with poorer performance) buy me anything?

Thanks for any deep meaningful thoughts on the subject!
