There is currently no active work on an ia64 port. Attempts were made
to get Intel to make hardware available for a NetBSD port, but no
such luck.

The hardware is on the market now, but I don't think any developer
owns any ia64 hardware. There's also the simulator, which is a Linux
binary which runs under NetBSD/i386.

Anyway, the short version is that we would of course like to see
a port, but currently do not have the hardware or time to do
it.
