I'm interested in building an embedded system with the following:
a CPU with floating point, giving 20+ MIPS
some flash, 512k-2M
a bunch of ram, 16M+
an IDE CDROM, somehow attached via a proprietary ad-hoc inteface

Since NetBSD has most of the hardware support I'm looking for, I'm
either interested into:
- Learning how to use the CDROM, and ask for pointers as HOWTO
read/write a device driver

or

- "porting" NetBSD (the required portions) to the new platform, and ask
for:
  - where to start
  - what to do
  - how to do :)

Thank you for your patience
