Second Call for Papers And Registration for BSDConTR



 First Turkish Conference on BSD Systems (BSDConTR'07) Call for Papers
October 20 - 21, 2007 - Marmara University, Goztepe Istanbul, Turkey

The call for papers[1] and conference registration[2] is now open for BSDConTR

[1] Second Call for Papers

We're inviting you to submit papers and proposals for first BSD Conference in Turkey

Your submission should include:
1. Name, title, address, email and phone number
2. Draft of the proposed presentation
3. Short biography, qualification, occupation, achievement and
   affiliations (limit 150 words).
4. Summary or abstract for your presentation (limit 150 words)
5. Time (40-60 minutes). Include time for discussion and questions
6. Technical requirements (video, internet, wireless, audio, etc.)

We do not accept product, service or vendor related presentations.

Topics of special interest include :

   * Kernel Architecture
   * Interoperatbility with other Operating Systems
   * Networking
   * Embedded systems
   * Device drivers
   * Commercial uses (hosting, etc.)
   * Spam Prevention with BSDs
   * Ports collection
   * Desktop
   * Performance Tuning
   * Security
   * Programming
   * E-commerce
   * Applications of BSD systems on "E-Government" projects
   * System Administration
   * Raid and high-volume storage
   * High-performance
   * Mass Installation
   * Networking
   * Cryptography


call for paper will end August 1st and all proposals received before August 15th 2007, will be considered by the Program Committee.

Authors and presenters notified by the program committee  August 15, 2007

Final papers and presentations due October 1, 2007

== About  BSDConTR ==

BSDConTR is first Turkish Conference on BSD Systems. Organized in cooperation with Marmara University [3] and EnderUNIX Software Development team, which is largely known as its ongoing support for BSD systems in Turkey, and its open source projects, the conference will be held on October 20th and 21th in Goztepe campus of Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkey.

FreeBSD core team member Robert Watson, from OpenBSD Project Marc Balmer and Diomidis D. Spinellis, author of "Code Reading" book,
will be attending the conference as guest speaker.
