Hello,

I think I know enough to be dangerous, and I hope you'll stop me before I
harm myself or my machine. (Others are probably safe.)

I know the recommended way to upgrade is to boot the install kernel and
run sysinst. I thought I'd do it "by hand", partly out of orneriness.

Is this procedure close enough to right to try, or should I keep the
training wheels on?

0. Download sets
1. copy /etc/* to /etc.old
2. mv /netbsd /netbsd.2.0
3. ln kern-GENERIC /netbsd
4. reboot in single-user mode
5. cd /
6. pax -rpezf SETS/base.tgz
    pax -rpezf SETS/comp.tgz
    pax -rpezf SETS/man.tgz
    pax -rpezf SETS/misc.tgz
    pax -rpezf SETS/text.tgz
   (skip: pax -rpezf SETS/etc.tgz)
7. postinstall -s SETS/etc.tgz check
    postinstall -s SETS/etc.tgz fix
8. add user _pflogd
9. add groups _pflogd and authpf
10. cd /dev && sh MAKEDEV all
11. reboot
12. (switch to pf and install spamd)

Am I going about this the right way? Did I miss anything?

Thanks.
