If the DHCP server on your local network is properly configured, then 
dhclient will automatically determine the right default route and DNS 
info for /etc/resolv.conf, without you needing to make changes by hand.  
If your DHCP server does not give out the right information, you should 
fix it, rather than adjusting each client machine by hand....
