I upgraded my laptop from 2.1 to 3.0 with sysinstall and all the upgrade
process was successfull (al least to me).

When I restarted the system, it was not bootable: I discover sysinstall
installed the wrong stage 1 boot code (ffsv1).
To fix it, I started the PC with the cdrom and select the kernel on the
hard-disk. After the boot I installed the right boot code for ffsv2.

I do not find on the list other user facing this problem.
Are you aware of such a problem? if yes forgot my email.

Bye,
Roberto

P.S.: if I remember well, I faced the same problem in the previous upgrade
2.0.x to 2.1.
