SO, last night I played with my vm.* vars -- tested by playing rocksndiamon=
ds.
This appeared to work the best:
#STUFF to speed up the mouse...
vm.anonmin=3D15
#was 10
vm.anonmax=3D90
#was 95
vm.execmin=3D15
#was 10
vm.execmax=3D90
vm.filemin=3D1
vm.filemax=3D30=20

I decided to hold off -- to test a few things. Mwm promptly locked up when =
I started it.
This afternoon I started X using the command line "startx -- -depth 16" (no=
rmally I use
-depth 24). I then played rocksndiamonds -- can't get it to lock up!
