Please take a look into wip/speedtouch131 . It is a pkgsrc package availabl=
e at http://pkgsrc-wip.sf.net that deals with this kind of USB modem.

Some important notes about the software is that libpusb (included by this s=
oftware and recently added to pkgsrc-wip), needs devfs, not available in Ne=
tBSD yet; and this version of the speedtouch software uses mutexes to detec=
t a running version of the modem_run daemon. So, if the modem disconnects, =
or the USB port is reset, you have to reboot the system to get the modem wo=
rking again.
