Please know that this is a "Scientific Wild Assed Guess" (S.W.A.G.) but
is it possible that what might be required are x libs? I had a somewhat
comparable sounding experience last weekend when I was attempting to
install MRTG. Some of the mrtg components required xlibs in order to
function.......perhaps this is similar?

It would be helpful if you could post whatever errors you are
encountering when attempting to compile the package.

Just so that you know, as a newbie I'm on the low end of the knowlege
totem pole, so others will have to pick up the slack later in this
thread. Perhaps this might get the ball rolling though.
