Try multimedia/realplayer (which has been very unstable for me in the
past).

Or try mplayer or gmplayer which uses multimedia/mplayer-share which
includes realplayer-codecs. (I have not tried that yet.)

There are also command-line tools for playing realplayer audio content,
but I have not seen in pkgsrc yet.

I use ogg vorbis for audio. And sometimes I play with ogg theora for video
(see pkgsrc-wip for theora).
