Hi Gary,
The good news is Connectix VirtualPC is still around, and is 
reasonably-fast... the bad news is that Microsoft just bought it, so 
it probably won't be fast for very long ;-). They mainly bought 
Connectix's VMware-like server partitioning system (nearing release), 
but VPC came along with it as it's based on the same technology.
