It is not a FAQ. Because he is using "NetBSD Live CD". (You can't modify
the password on an unwritable master.passwd.)

John, have a look at the README.i386live. It says:

   The NetBSD system itself has two users defined, "root" and
   "user". Both have a password which is identically to the user name.
