My mistake.  I'm not sure why I thought they were mutually exclusive.
I thought something I had built awhile ago conflicted with it, but it must have
been something else I removed.  Oh well.

gtk+ coredumped during the build, but it finished the second time through.
Sorry to disturb the list for something this trivial.
