Howdy All,

I am attempting to install NetBSD on a machine (that had FreeBSD) on it
with the current release.

Here's the issue, I cannot ping the PC either in or out. I could with
FreeBSD.

The NIC is a Kingston EitherRx VP10/100 (KNE 110TX). It has 4 LED's on
it, the AX light is off, all others are green. The cable is plugged in
(both ends).

netstat shows it as the tlp0 device (re:
http://www.netbsd.org/Hardware/pci.html )

I have re-installed NetBSD from stratch, but that didn't help and I
still have the same issue.

Other clues are:

-when installing, I did not know what my options were for "Network Media
Type", so I left it at "autoconfigure"

-During boot, I get the message "$Hostname not set in /etc/rc"

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Mac
