I decided to upgrade to EMACS v21 just for amusement. (^& (Out of
pkgsrc. I don't know if the problems I'm facing are pkgsrc related,
or just life with EMACS 21...)

(mutter/grouch/grumble)

(A lot of time spent twiddling options to make it's default font livable
again. (sigh))

The "pop-up tooltips" are really irritating. Especially when they jump
up in menus (am I crazy, or is it sick to have a text-based pop-up tool-tip
on a text-based drop-down menu? especially when the tool-tip obscures the
menu option...).

It looks like the user-interface took a big jump towards MonopolySoft
style garbage (flashy, colorful, a bit less efficient, and really hard
to make it do what I want it (the interface) to do).

Evil, evil defaults in the new EMACS. (^&

(Yeah, I know. I should use the only real editor: cat(1). *grin*)
