If it's of any interest: I have such a core file lying around from
when I was installing 1.6.1.
I didn't care about it back then because from searching the mailing
lists I got the impression that it was a known problem.
So if anyone's interested I could provide the file, but I don't think
I can offer much help beyond that, because the installation was too
long ago to reproduce the exact steps (and I have no intention to
reinstall this machine now...).
