Hello,

I've found that regardless of how I blank my screen (using screenblank
under X, xset dpms, etc), my laptop backlight is not turned off.  Blanking
the screen without turning off the backlight doesn't really save any power
(right?).  I'm wondering if this is something other users deal with, or
whether this may be endemic to my hardware.  I'm using an HP pavilion
laptop with all-ACPI (and acpi built into my kernel).  I'm running
1.6-current.

Any ideas?
