Next time you get this, please type 'tr' to get a stack trace.
Also you may want to try 1.6.1, which has numerous fixes (not yet
out officially, but you can get a snapshot from
ftp://releng.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-1-6/
