Ok...I found my issue and reburned the ISO :) and now it booted.
But with a new scsi drive, netbsd cannot seem to figure out the disk's
geometry.....
I am using a Dell PowerEdge with
an Adaptec 39160 (very similar to a 29160 but dual port)
and it uses an Adaptec AIC-7899 controller chip.
I have a SEAGATE-ST318406LW-010A drive.
when it starts to boot during install, 'dmesg' reports good values for
cylinders/heads/sectors...but during the setup, netbsd claims it cannot
determine these.
So I used them anyways, sliced up the disk (netbsd is the only thing on it)
and then continued with a full install (minus and X stuff).
It finished and then I tried to reboot.....
'no operating system found'
Help?
